A Ride Out 002 Thirsk & Sowerby Flatts

A Ride Out 002 Thirsk & Sowerby Flatts

Written by: | Posted on: | Category:

In this weeks episode entitled 'A Ride Out 002 - Thirsk & Sowerby Flatts' this 8 minute video takes you past the home of Mrs Warner, the inspiration behind the character in the James Herriot books called Mrs Pumfrey. Together with her dog Tricky Woo and her sister, Mrs Warner was a larger than life character that formed the social elite that made up much of the characters and stories from the journals of Alf Wright. We also ride out across the Thirsk & Sowerby Flatts towards the newly refurbished leisure centre, up Chapel street and past the many and varied buildings that make up this historic market town.
